The MICRO 100 FGF-125-030-050 is a solid carbide face grooving tool designed for internal grooving operations on small-diameter bores. Built from solid carbide throughout, it delivers the rigidity and wear resistance needed to cut clean, precise grooves in tight spaces. The shank measures 1/8 inch in diameter and the tool runs 1.5 inches in overall length, making it well suited for miniature and micro-machining applications. A 0.050-inch projection allows controlled depth engagement, while the 0.030-inch groove width produces narrow, accurate groove profiles. Machinists and tool and die professionals rely on this geometry for grooving O-ring seats, snap-ring grooves, and similar features in small-bore work.
This face grooving tool is intended for use in CNC lathes and manual turning centers where small-bore internal face grooving is required. It handles bores with a minimum hole diameter of 0.125 inches and a maximum hole depth of 0.375 inches. Typical applications include precision component machining in aerospace, medical device, and hydraulic fitting manufacturing where tight tolerances and fine groove geometry are critical. The solid carbide construction supports use in both ferrous and non-ferrous materials at appropriate cutting parameters.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement and standard fit for small-bore face grooving toolholders accepting a 1/8-inch shank diameter in CNC and manual turning applications.
Installation and setup should be performed by a qualified machinist familiar with turning tool geometry and small-bore grooving operations. Ensure the machine spindle is fully stopped and all power is off before mounting or removing the tool. Secure the shank firmly in the collet or toolholder to the correct clamping torque specified by the toolholder manufacturer, not by this tool. Verify projection and groove depth settings against workpiece drawings before engaging the cut.
