Product Description

The METRO SEALANT WATERPROOFING SUPPLY 561857 is a rapid-setting hydraulic cement compound formulated to instantly stop running water and seepage in masonry and concrete structures. Ready to use with only the addition of potable water, it mixes to a stiff, no-slump putty consistency in under 30 seconds and achieves flash set in 1 to 3 minutes. A slower 3 to 5 minute set formulation is also available for applications where more working time is needed. Licensed masons, waterproofing contractors, and concrete repair specialists install this product in active-leak conditions where standard patching materials cannot perform.

This hydraulic cement is suited for residential, commercial, and civil infrastructure repair scenarios where water is actively infiltrating through cracks, joints, or voids in concrete or masonry. Typical applications include below-grade foundation walls, tunnels, utility vaults, elevator pits, and wet basements. The material is designed for saturated surface dry (SSD) conditions and can be applied directly into running-water situations. Compatible surfaces include structurally sound concrete and masonry that have been mechanically abraded to a surface profile of CSP greater than 3 per ICRI Guideline 310.2.

Installation Notes

Installation should be performed by a licensed waterproofing contractor or qualified mason familiar with hydraulic cement products. Before mixing, ensure the substrate is structurally sound and mechanically abraded to the required surface profile. Mix rapidly with a trowel for no more than 30 seconds and form immediately into the void — set begins within minutes and cannot be reversed once initiated. Do not re-temper or rework the mix after set begins.
