The METABO 656433000 is a Type 29 zirconia alumina flap disc from the Flapper Plus series, designed for aggressive material removal and blending on metal surfaces. The conical Type 29 geometry provides a larger contact area than flat discs, making it well suited for surface grinding and weld blending at moderate angles. At 120 grit, this disc delivers a fine finish while maintaining consistent stock removal on steel and stainless steel. The fiberglass backing provides rigidity and durability under load, and the disc is rated to a maximum of 10,200 RPM. This product ships individually and is ordered in multiples of 10.
This flap disc is used in metal fabrication, welding shops, and industrial maintenance applications where controlled material removal and surface finishing on steel or stainless steel are required. The 6-inch diameter and 7/8-inch arbor hole fit standard angle grinders used by fabricators, welders, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics. The Type 29 profile performs best when the grinder is held at a 5- to 15-degree angle to the workpiece, making it effective for blending welds, deburring, and surface prep on flat and contoured sections.
