The MESTEK xf150a1ns1110 is a power-vented commercial unit heater designed for natural gas applications requiring high-output space heating. Rated at 150,000 BTU/h with an 83% AFUE efficiency rating, this single-stage unit uses direct spark ignition and an aluminum heat exchanger to deliver reliable, consistent heat output. A 1/4 HP ODP motor drives the supply air fan. The unit operates on 115 volts and supports both standard vent and separated combustion configurations, giving the installing contractor flexibility in venting layout. At 157 pounds, installation requires a proper mounting structure and a two-person crew.
This unit heater is intended for commercial and industrial heating applications such as warehouses, garages, manufacturing facilities, and large mechanical spaces. The power-vented design allows it to be installed in locations where natural draft venting is impractical. Support for separated combustion makes it suitable for tight or semi-conditioned spaces where indoor air quality and combustion air supply are concerns. A licensed commercial HVAC contractor or gas-fitter should perform the installation in accordance with local mechanical and gas codes.
Designed as an OEM-specified commercial unit heater replacement or new-installation product for natural gas power-vented heating systems in commercial and industrial buildings.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC technician or gas-fitter in compliance with NFPA 54, local gas codes, and the applicable mechanical code. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before servicing or mounting the unit. Ensure the mounting structure is rated to support the unit weight of 157 pounds, and verify vent termination clearances meet manufacturer and code requirements. Separated combustion installations require dedicated combustion air piping in addition to the vent system.
