The MESTEK hsb13211 is a horizontal hydronic and steam unit heater rated at 95,800 BTU/h at 200 degrees F supply water temperature. It moves air through a copper-tube heat exchanger at 2,000 CFM using a 1/3 HP, 120-volt totally enclosed motor with thermal overload protection. A factory-installed fan guard is included. Connections are 1-1/4 inch FPT on both inlet and outlet, and the unit is rated for a maximum working pressure of 150 psi. Shipping weight is 74 pounds. This unit is designed for licensed HVAC or plumbing contractors and is appropriate for commercial and industrial heating applications.
The hsb13211 is suited for horizontal overhead installation in spaces such as warehouses, garages, loading docks, mechanical rooms, and light industrial facilities. It is compatible with both hydronic hot water and steam distribution systems, making it a versatile choice where existing piped heating infrastructure is present. The horizontal discharge orientation allows warm air to be directed across floor-level work areas for effective spot or general heating coverage.
Designed as an OEM-style horizontal unit heater for use with hydronic hot water or steam heating systems operating within the rated pressure and temperature parameters.
Installation should be performed by a licensed HVAC or plumbing contractor in accordance with local mechanical codes and ASHRAE guidelines. Shut off and bleed down the hydronic or steam system before making pipe connections, and verify that system operating pressure does not exceed the 150 psi maximum rating. Electrical connections to the 120-volt motor must comply with NEC requirements, and the circuit should be de-energized before wiring. Confirm that the mounting structure can support the unit weight and that horizontal discharge clearances meet local code requirements.
