The MESTEK gg120a1nsa11 is a low-profile gas-fired unit heater rated at 120,000 BTU/h on natural gas, designed for residential and light commercial heating applications. It operates on 115 volts with a single-stage direct spark ignition system and delivers 82% thermal efficiency through an aluminum heat exchanger. The unit is power vented and ships LP-kit compatible, giving installers flexibility for jobsite fuel requirements. A 1/10 HP open drip-proof (ODP) motor drives the blower. Weighing approximately 120 pounds, this heater suits suspended ceiling or overhead mounting in garages, warehouses, shops, and similar spaces where floor space is at a premium.
This unit heater is built for both residential and commercial environments where overhead forced-air heat is the preferred solution. Standard power-vented operation allows conventional venting through an exterior wall or roof. The separate combustion option accommodates tighter building envelopes where indoor air quality or makeup-air requirements demand an isolated combustion air source. Typical installers include licensed HVAC technicians and mechanical contractors working on new construction or replacement heating in garages, service bays, agricultural buildings, and small commercial spaces.
Designed as an OEM residential and commercial low-profile gas unit heater. Accepts an LP conversion kit for propane fuel operation where natural gas is unavailable.
Installation must be performed by a licensed HVAC or mechanical contractor in accordance with the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) and all applicable local codes. Shut off gas supply and disconnect electrical power before any service work. Vent system sizing and clearances must follow the manufacturer instructions and local authority having jurisdiction requirements. Do not operate the unit without all vent connections fully secured and verified for proper draft.
