The MERSEN TRM4/10 is a 250-volt midget time-delay fuse rated at 4/10 amp, designed for overcurrent protection in low-amperage control circuits and small electrical equipment. The time-delay (TD) characteristic allows the fuse to withstand brief inrush currents without nuisance opening, while still providing reliable protection against sustained overloads and short circuits. This midget form factor fits standard 13/32-inch x 1-1/2-inch midget fuse holders commonly found in control panels, HVAC equipment, and light industrial applications. Each pack contains 10 fuses. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians are the primary installers.
This fuse is suited for residential and light commercial control circuits where low-amperage protection is required. Common applications include transformer secondary circuits, motor control panels, instrumentation, and HVAC control boards that require a midget fuse for branch-circuit or supplemental overcurrent protection. The time-delay design makes it appropriate for circuits with small motor loads or transformer inrush conditions where an instantaneous fuse would open unnecessarily.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for midget time-delay fuses in residential and light commercial control panels and HVAC equipment requiring a 250-volt, 4/10-amp supplemental or branch-circuit fuse.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements for overcurrent protection. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before replacing a fuse. Verify that the replacement fuse matches the voltage rating, amperage rating, and time-delay classification specified on the equipment nameplate or wiring diagram. Never substitute a higher-amperage or non-time-delay fuse in a circuit requiring the TD characteristic.
