The MERSEN TRM1-1/4 is a 250-volt midget time-delay fuse rated at 1-1/4 amps, designed for overcurrent protection in low-amperage control circuits and instrumentation panels. The time-delay action allows the fuse to tolerate brief startup inrush currents without nuisance blowing while still providing reliable protection against sustained overcurrents and short circuits. Sold in a pack of 10, this fuse is sized for compact fuseholders commonly found in HVAC control panels, motor control centers, and industrial equipment enclosures. Electricians and HVAC technicians install this class where a standard midget form factor is specified.
This fuse is suited for residential and light commercial HVAC control circuits, transformer secondary protection, and instrumentation or process control panels. Its midget form factor fits standard 13/32-inch x 1-1/2-inch fuseholders. Applications include protection of low-voltage control wiring, small motor branch circuits, and sensitive electronic equipment requiring time-delay characteristics to handle startup loads without sacrificing fault protection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement midget time-delay fuse for standard 13/32-inch x 1-1/2-inch fuseholders used in HVAC control panels, instrumentation enclosures, and motor control circuits rated up to 250 volts.
Fuse replacement should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) lockout/tagout requirements. Always replace with a fuse of the same amp rating, voltage rating, and time-delay classification. Never substitute a higher-amp fuse or a fast-acting fuse in a circuit specified for time-delay protection.
