The MERSEN TR8/10R is a dual-element, time-delay fuse rated for 8/10 ampere at 250 volts in a Class RK5 form factor. It is designed to protect motors, transformers, and control circuits from overloads and short-circuit faults while tolerating normal inrush currents that would trip a standard fast-acting fuse. The time-delay characteristic makes it a reliable choice for circuits where momentary current spikes are expected during startup. This fuse is installed by licensed electricians and HVAC technicians working on branch-circuit and equipment-protection applications.
The TR8/10R is suited for residential and light commercial electrical and HVAC systems where RK5-class fusing is specified. Its dual-element construction provides both overload protection and fast short-circuit response. The 250-volt rating covers standard single-phase branch circuits. This fuse ships in a 10-unit pack, making it practical for stocking service vehicles or panel rooms where multiple replacements are routinely needed.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class RK5 time-delay fuse positions rated up to 250 volts and 8/10 amperes in residential and light commercial electrical and HVAC equipment.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician or qualified HVAC technician in accordance with NEC requirements for overcurrent protection. Always de-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or replacing fuses. Verify the fuse holder is rated for Class RK5 fuses before installation. Do not substitute a fast-acting or higher-ampere fuse where a time-delay type is specified.
