The MERSEN TR6/10R is a dual-element, time-delay fuse rated at 6/10 amp and 250 volts, classified RK5. Time-delay fuses are designed to withstand temporary inrush currents without nuisance tripping, while still providing fast response to sustained overloads and short circuits. This fuse is used in branch circuit and equipment protection applications across HVAC, motor control, and general electrical systems. Licensed electricians and HVAC technicians install this type of fuse in disconnects, load centers, and equipment fuse blocks. Each pack contains 10 fuses.
The TR6/10R fits applications requiring RK5-class overcurrent protection at 250 volts or less. Its 6/10-amp rating suits low-current circuits such as control transformers, small fractional-horsepower motors, and sensitive electronic equipment loads. The time-delay characteristic makes it well suited to motor-driven equipment where startup inrush would trip a fast-acting fuse. It is commonly found in residential and light commercial HVAC equipment, panel boards, and fused disconnect switches.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for RK5-class time-delay fuses rated 6/10 amp at 250 volts, for use in standard rejection-style fuse holders and fused disconnects accepting RK5 fuses.
Installation must be performed by a qualified electrician in accordance with NFPA 70 (NEC) requirements for overcurrent protection. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Verify that the fuse holder is rated for RK5-class fuses and that the circuit voltage and current do not exceed the fuse ratings. Never replace a fuse with one of a higher ampere rating.
