The MERSEN RLS200 is a Class H renewable fuse link rated at 200 amperes and 600 VAC, designed to restore a blown RFS renewable fuse to service without replacing the entire fuse body. The link is precision die-cut from zinc and seats into the RFS fuse cartridge, providing repeatable overcurrent protection once installed. Knurled bushings on the RFS body allow quick disassembly and reassembly, reducing downtime. The RLS200 carries an interrupting rating of 10 kiloamperes, making it appropriate for general-purpose load applications where available short-circuit current does not exceed 10,000 amperes. Licensed electricians and maintenance technicians working in commercial and industrial distribution panels are the primary installers.
The RLS200 is used in general-purpose electrical distribution applications where RFS Class H renewable fuses are already in service. Renewable fuse technology is common in older commercial facilities, industrial control panels, and motor branch circuits where cost-effective fuse maintenance is a priority. The matched die-cut zinc link design spans 1 to 600 amperes across 32 ratings in the RLS series, so the same renewal process applies across a wide range of circuit protection needs. This link is specifically sized for the 200-ampere RFS fuse body.
Designed for use with MERSEN RFS Series renewable fuse bodies. The RLS200 is matched to the RFS 200-ampere fuse body and is part of the RLS die-cut zinc link line covering 1 to 600 amperes.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC). De-energize and lock out the circuit before disassembling the fuse body. Use the knurled bushings on the RFS fuse body to separate the end caps and remove the spent link. Do not substitute non-matched links, as link material and geometry directly affect interrupting performance and safety ratings.
