The MERSEN OT60 ONE T is a Class K5 fast-acting, one-time ferrule fuse rated at 60 amperes, 250 volts AC and 250 volts DC. It is designed for general-purpose overcurrent protection in feeder and branch-circuit applications. The fuse provides a maximum interrupting rating of 50 kA, safely clearing available short-circuit currents across all standard ratings. It is not a rejection-style fuse, so installers must verify that any replacement maintains an equal or greater interrupting rating than the original device. Electricians install this fuse in clip-style fuse holders found in panels, disconnects, and fused safety switches.
The OT60 ONE T is suited for residential and light commercial feeder and branch-circuits serving lighting loads, heating equipment, and other non-motor electrical loads. It carries an AC/DC rating, making it usable in both alternating-current and direct-current circuits within its voltage limits. The fuse is compliant with RoHS requirements and operates at 50 and 60 Hz. For Canadian installations, OTN-series fuses in the 15-60 ampere range satisfy the Canadian Electrical Code requirement for Type P low melting-point, non-time-delay fuses.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class K5 fast-acting ferrule fuses in clip-style fuse holders rated for general-purpose feeder and branch-circuit protection.
Installation must be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and any applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing the fuse. This is a one-time fuse and must be replaced after any overcurrent event. Verify that the replacement fuse matches or exceeds the interrupting rating of the original to avoid creating a hazard on high available fault-current circuits.
