The MERSEN OT30 ONE T is a one-time, general-purpose fuse rated at 30 amps and 250 volts AC/DC, designed for fast-acting overcurrent protection in feeder and branch circuits. Built to Class K5 standards, it provides reliable short-circuit protection with an interrupting rating of 50,000 amperes (50 kA), making it suitable for a wide range of non-motor electrical loads. The ferrule connection type and clip mounting make this fuse compatible with standard fuse holders and disconnect blocks. Electricians and electrical contractors install this type of fuse as a cost-effective protection solution for lighting, heating, and general-purpose branch circuits. The body is constructed of paper insulation with copper terminal contacts.
The OT30 ONE T is intended for use in feeder and branch circuits serving lighting loads, heating equipment, and other non-motor electrical applications in both residential and commercial installations. It carries a 50/60 Hz frequency rating and is suitable for both AC and DC circuits up to 250 volts. Note that OT and OTN series fuses are not rejection-type fuses. When replacing this fuse, care must be taken to ensure the replacement carries an equal or greater interrupting rating than the original. ROHS compliant for use in environmentally regulated installations.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement for Class K5 fast-acting ferrule fuses used in feeder and branch-circuit protection applications for lighting, heating, and general non-motor loads. Not a rejection-type fuse; verify that any replacement carries an interrupting rating no lower than the original fuse installed.
Installation should be performed by a licensed electrician in accordance with the National Electrical Code (NEC) and applicable local codes. De-energize and lock out the circuit before removing or installing any fuse. Confirm that the fuse holder or disconnect block is rated for ferrule-type fuses at the required voltage and amperage before installation. Because OT series fuses are not rejection fuses, verify the replacement interrupting rating matches or exceeds the original to maintain proper circuit protection.
