The MERSEN A13X25-2 is a 25-amp semiconductor fuse designed to provide fast-acting overcurrent protection for solid-state devices and power electronic components. Semiconductor fuses are engineered for extremely rapid arc interruption, limiting the let-through energy (I2t) to levels that protect sensitive components such as SCRs, diodes, thyristors, and IGBTs. This fuse is installed by licensed electricians and industrial maintenance technicians working on variable frequency drives, rectifiers, soft starters, and similar power conversion equipment where standard current-limiting fuses are too slow to prevent component damage.
The A13X25-2 is suited for industrial and commercial electrical applications where solid-state power electronics require upstream overcurrent protection. Typical installation scenarios include control panels, motor drive cabinets, and power conversion assemblies.
