The MERIT BRASS XNL103-32 is a 2-inch nominal brass street elbow designed to change flow direction in threaded piping systems. It connects with a male NPT inlet and a female NPT outlet, allowing it to be threaded directly into a fitting without requiring a separate nipple. Rated at 125 lb, this elbow is built for low-to-medium pressure service in water, oil, and gas piping applications. The rough brass finish is standard for this fitting class. Licensed plumbers and pipefitters are the primary installers of this type of fitting.
This street elbow is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing and gas distribution systems where a 90-degree direction change is needed in a compact space. The MNPT x FNPT configuration makes it a practical choice when threading directly into valves, pump bodies, or tee fittings. It is commonly used in supply lines, condensate drain systems, and similar low-pressure service lines.
Designed as a standard 125 lb brass street elbow for use in 2-inch NPT threaded piping systems typical of residential and light commercial plumbing and gas applications.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter following applicable IPC and IFGC code requirements. Shut off supply pressure and depressurize the line before disassembling any existing fittings. Apply thread sealant or PTFE tape to the male threads before assembly and tighten with appropriately sized pipe wrenches. Do not overtighten, as brass threads can be damaged by excessive torque.
