Installation Notes

Socket weld fittings are installed by licensed pipefitters or journeyman plumbers in accordance with ASME B31.1 or B31.3 process piping codes, as applicable. Before welding, depressurize and isolate the line completely. Insert the pipe to the bottom of the socket, then back out slightly before tack welding to allow for weld shrinkage. Post-weld inspection per applicable code is recommended before returning the line to service.
