The MERIT BRASS MB70010 is a 1-piece, full-port ball valve built for shutoff and flow control in plumbing and mechanical systems. The copper body connects via push-to-connect press ends, making it compatible with press-fit installation workflows that eliminate open-flame soldering. A stainless steel lever handle provides positive quarter-turn operation. The valve is rated to 300 psi maximum working pressure and handles temperatures from 0 degrees F to 250 degrees F, making it suitable for both cold and hot water service lines. EPDM seals maintain integrity across the full rated temperature range. The valve carries NSF-61/376 and IAPMO Z1157 listings and is certified lead free.
This valve is suited for residential and light commercial plumbing installations where press-fit copper systems are specified. Typical applications include domestic hot and cold water supply lines, hydronic heating distribution, and mechanical room shutoff points where no-flame installation is required or preferred. The 3/4 inch pipe size fits standard 3/4 inch copper tube with an outside diameter of 1.252 inches. The full-port design minimizes flow restriction, which is important in applications where pressure drop must be kept low.

Inspect the tube end for squareness and remove burrs before inserting into the valve to ensure a proper seal.
