The MERIT BRASS 8040-350 is a Schedule 40 aluminum pipe nipple machined from 6061 aluminum alloy and threaded on both ends. It measures 2.5 inches in nominal pipe diameter with an overall length of 3.5 inches. This nipple is used to make short pipe-to-fitting connections in low-pressure fluid, gas, or pneumatic distribution systems where corrosion resistance and light weight are required. It is installed by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors working on industrial, commercial, and light residential piping systems.

This nipple is suited for systems where 6061 aluminum is specified for its combination of corrosion resistance, machinability, and strength-to-weight ratio. Installation Notes
