The MERIT BRASS 8008-600 is a Schedule 40 aluminum pipe nipple machined from 6061 aluminum alloy and threaded on both ends. It measures 0.5 inches in nominal pipe size and 6 inches in length, making it a standard close-to-short nipple used for connecting threaded fittings, valves, and equipment in low-pressure fluid and gas piping systems. At 0.14 pounds, it is lightweight without sacrificing the corrosion resistance that 6061 aluminum provides.
