The MERIT BRASS 6504-500 is a seamless stainless steel pipe nipple designed for use in high-pressure and corrosion-sensitive piping systems. Manufactured from Grade 316 and 316L stainless steel, this nipple meets the demands of applications where chloride exposure, chemical contact, or elevated temperatures are a concern. It is built to Schedule 80 wall thickness, which provides greater pressure capacity compared to standard Schedule 40. The 1/4 inch pipe size and NPT threading make it compatible with standard fittings and valves used by licensed plumbers, pipefitters, and mechanical contractors across industrial, commercial, and process piping installations.

Designed as an OEM-style replacement or new-installation fitting for Schedule 80 stainless steel threaded piping systems with 1/4 inch NPT connections.
Installation should be performed by a licensed plumber or pipefitter in accordance with applicable IPC or ASME B31 piping codes. Shut off and depressurize the line completely before removing or installing any threaded nipple. Apply an appropriate thread sealant rated for the service fluid and pressure range. Do not over-torque threaded connections, as stainless steel threads are susceptible to galling.
