The MERIT BRASS 2116-400 is a brass nipple produced from seamless red brass pipe, alloy 230. These nipples are easier to machine and more corrosion-resistant than yellow brass. Brass offers good corrosion resistance to water and heat and resists attack from salt water, acids, and minerals. Primarily utilized for water in commercial plumbing and OEM applications, it is also suitable for oil, gas, and steam applications.
