The MERIT ABRASIVES OLD08834167104 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for use with Power-Lock Type R attaching systems on handheld disc sanders. At 1.5 inches in diameter and rated to 30,000 RPM, this disc carries an 80-grit medium-grade zirconia alumina abrasive bonded to a heavy Y-weight polyester backing. The flexible polyester cloth construction handles aggressive stock removal without loading or glazing. A self-lubricating treatment reduces heat buildup during extended grinding runs, extending disc life and improving cut consistency on hard and abrasive workpiece materials.

This disc is suited for metal fabrication, weld blending, deburring, and surface prep work across a wide range of materials. Rated applications include 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, fiberglass and composite materials, and hard and soft woods. Installation Notes
