Built on a rigid, X-weight, 2-ply cloth and polyester backing, this disc delivers consistent stock removal at 60 grit medium grade. The aluminum oxide abrasive material handles deburring, cleaning, and surface detailing on a broad range of metals. Rated to 40,000 RPM, it fits Power-Lock Type R quick-change systems and is suited for production and maintenance work in fabrication, welding, and metalworking environments. The brown disc measures 3/4 inch in diameter and ships individually with a minimum order of 100 units.
This disc is intended for use in metal fabrication, maintenance, and finishing applications where quick disc changes are required. It performs on 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, soft carbon steels, hard carbon steels, and titanium. The rigid backing resists flex, making it well suited for flat surface work including deburring weld seams, cleaning oxidation, and prepping surfaces before further finishing. It is installed on handheld disc sanders using the Power-Lock Type R attaching system.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Power-Lock Type R quick-change attaching system. Compatible material applications include 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, and Titanium.
This disc is installed and removed by metalworking and fabrication professionals using the Power-Lock Type R snap-on mechanism. Always confirm the tool spindle speed does not exceed the 40,000 RPM disc rating before use. Inspect the disc for damage before mounting and ensure the backing pad is clean and undamaged. Follow applicable ANSI and OSHA abrasive wheel safety standards when operating handheld grinding and sanding equipment.
