The MERIT ABRASIVES 69957399646 is a 2-inch diameter quick-change abrasive disc designed for use with Power-Lock Type S attachment systems on handheld disc sanders. Running at a maximum of 30,000 RPM, this coated disc uses aluminum oxide abrasive grain bonded to a rigid X-weight 2-ply polyester backing for extended service life and a faster cut rate. At 180 grit, it falls in the very fine grade range, making it well suited for finishing, deburring, and detail work on hard and soft metals without aggressive material removal.
This disc is formulated for use on 300 series stainless steel, brass, bronze, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, and titanium. It is intended for handheld disc sander applications in fabrication, maintenance, and metalworking environments. Licensed HVAC and sheet metal technicians, pipefitters, and maintenance mechanics will find this disc useful for cleaning weld zones, deburring cut edges, and prepping metal surfaces before fitting or inspection. It is sold individually with a minimum order quantity of 100 units.
Designed for use with handheld disc sanders equipped with a Power-Lock Type S quick-change interface. Suitable for material applications including 300 Series Stainless, Brass, Bronze, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, and Titanium.
Installation and disc changes should be performed with the sander powered off and disconnected from its power source. Verify the disc is fully seated and locked onto the Type S mandrel before operation. Do not exceed the rated maximum of 30,000 RPM. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and replace if tearing, delamination, or abrasive loss is observed.
