The MERIT ABRASIVES 66623340047 is a quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface finishing and blending on metal and composite materials. Built with a non-woven aluminum oxide construction on a polyester and nylon web backing, this disc delivers consistent cut rates with a smear-free finish. The Power-Lock Type 2 attachment system (Type S) allows for fast, tool-free disc changes on compatible rotary tools. Rated to 30,000 RPM, it handles demanding applications without sacrificing control or surface quality. At 1.5 inches in diameter, it is suited for precision work in tight areas. Very fine grade makes it appropriate for finishing passes rather than aggressive stock removal.
This disc is intended for use with die grinders, handheld disc sanders, inline grinders, and straight grinders. It performs well on 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, fiberglass and composites, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, super alloys, titanium, and tool steels. The flexible backing conforms to irregular surfaces, making it a practical choice for weld blending, deburring, and surface prep in fabrication and maintenance environments. Metalworkers, fabricators, and maintenance technicians are the primary users.
Compatible with die grinders, handheld disc sanders, inline grinders, and straight grinders equipped with a Type S Power-Lock quick-change arbor. Suitable for use on 300 series stainless, 400 series stainless, fiberglass and composites, hard carbon steels, soft carbon steels, super alloys, titanium, and tool steels.
Install and remove this disc only with the tool powered off and disconnected from the power source. Verify the tool spindle accepts a Type S Power-Lock attachment before mounting. Do not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum speed rating marked on the disc. Inspect the disc for damage before each use and discard any disc that shows tears, delamination, or deformation.
