The MERIT ABRASIVES 66623325935 is a 4-inch hook-and-loop abrasive disc designed for surface finishing and preparation tasks. Built with a non-woven aluminum oxide construction, it delivers consistent very fine (150 grit) material removal across a range of substrates. The flexible disc construction conforms to contoured surfaces, making it well suited for finishing work where maintaining surface geometry matters. Rated to 15,000 RPM, it is compatible with standard random orbital and angle grinder platforms equipped with hook-and-loop backing pads. Installation and removal are tool-free, reducing downtime during pad changes.
This disc is used in surface conditioning, blending, deburring, and finishing applications across metalworking, woodworking, and general fabrication environments. The very fine 150 grit cuts lightly, making it appropriate for final-stage surface prep, light scratch removal, and pre-finishing work on metal, wood, and composite materials. The blue non-woven construction resists loading and maintains cut rate longer than comparable bonded abrasive discs at this grit level. No vacuum holes are present, so this disc is intended for use without dust-collection port configurations.
Designed for use with 4-inch hook-and-loop backing pads on random orbital sanders and angle grinders. Confirm backing pad diameter and attachment type before installation.
Disc installation and removal require no tools — align the disc face to the hook-and-loop backing pad and press firmly to seat. Before mounting or removing any abrasive disc, power down and disconnect the tool from its power source. Inspect the backing pad for worn or missing hooks before each use, as a degraded pad can cause disc separation at speed. Always verify that the tool RPM rating does not exceed the disc maximum of 15,000 RPM.
