The MERIT ABRASIVES 08834167114 is a coated quick-change abrasive disc designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring across a broad range of metals and composites. Built on a heavy Y-weight polyester backing, the disc uses a zirconia alumina abrasive grain at 36 grit for very coarse material removal. The Power-Lock Type 3 (TR/Type III) attachment system allows fast, tool-free disc changes on compatible handheld disc sanders. Rated to 20,000 RPM, the disc measures 3 inches in diameter and weighs 0.018 pounds. A self-lubricating treatment reduces heat buildup during prolonged grinding sessions, extending disc life and protecting workpiece surfaces.

This disc is suited for use in metal fabrication, welding shops, and maintenance environments where fast, repeatable material removal is required. Compatible material applications include 300 and 400 series stainless steel, aluminum, brass, bronze, hard and soft carbon steels, fiberglass, composites, and hard and soft woods.
