Product Description

The MERIT ABRASIVES 08834167066 is a 2-inch zirconia alumina quick-change coated abrasive disc designed for aggressive stock removal, weld blending, and deburring on metal and wood surfaces. This disc features a Y-weight polyester waterproof backing for durability under heavy use, a semi-open coat construction that resists loading, and a 40-grit coarse cut that bites into material fast. It uses a Power-Lock Type 2 (TS Type II) attachment system and is rated to 30,000 RPM. Zirconia alumina abrasive is self-sharpening, meaning the grain fractures during use to expose fresh cutting edges and extend disc life. The disc is flexible, accommodating contoured or uneven work surfaces.

This disc is suited for handheld disc sander applications in metal fabrication, welding shops, HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing rough-in, and general trade use.
