The MERIT ABRASIVES 08834166405 is a 2-inch non-woven aluminum oxide quick-change disc designed for surface finishing and blending on metal and composite materials. It uses a Type S attaching system with TS (Type II) quick-change compatibility, allowing fast disc swaps on die grinders, inline grinders, straight grinders, and handheld disc sanders. Rated at a maximum of 30,000 RPM, the disc is flexible and graded Very Fine. Aluminum oxide grain combined with a resin bond delivers a smooth cut rate and a consistent, uniform finish across multiple passes.

This disc is suited for finishing, deburring, and light stock removal in fabrication shops, maintenance environments, and fieldwork where a clean surface condition is required. Approved material applications include 300 Series Stainless, 400 Series Stainless, Fiberglass and Composites, Hard Carbon Steels, Soft Carbon Steels, Super Alloys, Titanium, and Tool Steels. The non-woven nylon fiber construction is laminated to a tough backing engineered to resist tearing during aggressive use.

Installation Notes

Inspect the disc for damage before each use and do not exceed the 30,000 RPM maximum speed rating.
