The MERIT ABRASIVES 08834166403 is a 3-inch quick-change abrasive disc designed for surface finishing and blending on a wide range of metals and composites. It uses aluminum oxide grain bonded with resin to deliver a smooth, consistent cut rate and a uniform finish. The non-woven nylon fiber construction is laminated to a tough flexible backing that resists tearing under load. Rated to 20,000 RPM, this disc attaches via a Type S Power-Lock system, making tool-free disc changes fast in production or field environments. Licensed HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical tradespeople frequently use discs like this for tube prep, weld blending, and surface conditioning before brazing or assembly.
