The MECHANIX WEAR S4DP-05-009 is a thermal general-purpose work glove built for field work in cold climates. It combines a 15-gauge knit nylon outer shell with a 10-gauge brushed acrylic liner to deliver meaningful insulation without sacrificing dexterity. The nitrile coating on the palm and fingers provides a textured grip surface, and the 360-degree cut-resistant shell meets EN 388 Level 3 and ANSI A2 cut resistance ratings. Sized as a men's Large and women's Medium, this full-fingered pair is appropriate for HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general field service work where hand protection in low-temperature environments is required.
This glove is designed for field technicians working in cold or seasonally cold conditions. The insulating compression knit cuff delivers a secure, draft-reducing fit at the wrist. The seamless acrylic lining reduces interior pressure points during extended wear. The wing thumb construction supports natural hand movement during tool use and material handling. The black, full-fingered clute pattern back provides all-around coverage for technicians working with sheet metal, conduit, pipe fittings, and similar trade materials. It carries ANSI ABR 6 abrasion resistance and EN 511 cold contact protection ratings, making it suitable for refrigeration service, cold-storage installs, and winter exterior work.
Designed as an OEM-style general-purpose work glove for field technicians in HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and related trades requiring thermal hand protection and cut resistance in cold-weather conditions.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, abrasions, or coating separation that would compromise grip or cut resistance. These gloves do not provide arc flash, high-voltage electrical insulation, or chemical splash protection and should not be used as a substitute for task-specific PPE where those hazards exist. Replace gloves when the nitrile coating shows visible wear, cracking, or loss of texture.
