The MCR SAFETY MU3644M is a grain goatskin leather utility driver glove built for electrical utility and industrial trade work. The glove is constructed from top grain goatskin leather, which provides greater dexterity and abrasion resistance compared to split leather. A double palm layer of premium brown goatskin reinforces the palm, fingertips, and knuckle area for added protection in high-wear zones. All stitch lines are sewn with Kevlar thread to extend wear life and prevent seam blowout. The arc flash rating of 28.6 cal/cm2 (HRC2/CAT2) qualifies this glove for arc-rated PPE requirements in electrical utility environments. The glove ships as a pair and is available in a medium size.
The MU3644M is designed for utility industry professionals including lineworkers, electricians, and industrial maintenance technicians who require arc-rated hand protection with maintained dexterity. The 5 inch split cowhide bell cuff provides forearm coverage during overhead or confined-space work. The wing thumb construction reduces material bunching at the thumb saddle during tool and equipment handling. Shirred elastic around the wrist keeps the glove seated securely during active tasks. This glove is appropriate for applications where both arc flash exposure and mechanical abrasion are present.
Designed as an OEM-style arc-rated utility driver glove suitable for electrical utility, linework, and industrial maintenance applications requiring HRC2/CAT2 arc flash hand protection.
PPE gloves of this type are donned and inspected by the end user before each use in accordance with employer safety programs and applicable NFPA 70E requirements. Inspect the glove for cuts, abrasions, or seam damage before each task. Do not use damaged gloves in arc flash or high-abrasion environments. Gloves should be stored away from heat, direct sunlight, and chemical exposure to maintain leather integrity.
