The MCR SAFETY MU3624XL is a grain goatskin leather utility driver glove built for professionals in the electrical utility, lineworker, and heavy-trade industries. Constructed from premium brown goatskin, the glove offers top-grain dexterity and abrasion resistance superior to split leather. Strategically placed double-palm layers reinforce the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle areas without restricting hand movement. All stitch lines are sewn with Kevlar thread for extended seam life and blowout prevention. The glove carries an arc rating of 28.6 cal/cm2 (HRC2 / CAT2) and a Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of 94 percent.
The MU3624XL is designed for utility field work including electrical transmission, line installation, and heavy mechanical trades where arc flash exposure, abrasion, and grip demands are constant. The shirred elastic wrist provides a secure, all-day fit during demanding tasks such as rigging, tie-off work, and equipment handling. The unlined construction keeps the glove lightweight and tactile for extended wear. This glove ships as a pair and is sized X-Large for a proper fit on larger hands common among lineworkers and utility crews.
Designed as an OEM-style work glove for utility industry professionals requiring arc-rated hand protection at HRC2 / CAT2 levels in electrical, linework, and heavy-trade applications.
These gloves are worn PPE and do not require mechanical installation. Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, abrasions, or seam separation that may compromise protection. Arc-rated gloves should be selected and used in accordance with NFPA 70E guidelines for the applicable incident energy exposure level. Replace gloves when the leather shows significant wear or seam integrity is compromised.
