The MCR Safety MU3624KL is a cut-resistant leather driver glove designed for utility industry professionals who require durable hand protection during high-demand fieldwork. Built around a premium brown goatskin leather shell, the glove uses a 13-gauge Kevlar liner for cut resistance and is double-stitched with Kevlar thread on all seam lines to resist blowout under stress. A shirred elastic wrist keeps the glove seated during active use. Licensed electricians, linemen, and utility technicians are the primary installers and end users for this glove, which carries an arc flash rating of 61.4 cal/cm2.
The MU3624KL is sized Large and sold as a pair. It is intended for utility fieldwork including transmission line work, tie-off preparation, and general heavy-trade applications where cut resistance, grip, and dexterity must coexist. Strategically placed second layers of goatskin leather at the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle add localized reinforcement in the highest-wear zones without reducing hand feel or flexibility. A wing-style thumb and fourchette finger panels improve fit geometry and reduce fatigue over extended wear periods. The goatskin leather stays soft and manageable even in sweaty conditions, maintaining grip and tactile feedback throughout a full shift.
Designed as an OEM-style utility driver glove for trade professionals in electrical, linework, and heavy utility applications requiring cut resistance and arc-rated hand protection.
Gloves should be inspected before each use for cuts, abrasions, or seam separation that could compromise protection. In arc-rated applications, verify that the 61.4 cal/cm2 arc rating meets or exceeds the incident energy level of the task per applicable NFPA 70E requirements. Replace gloves when leather shows cracking, liner exposure, or seam failure. Do not expose to solvents or petroleum products that may degrade leather or liner integrity.
