The MCR SAFETY MU3624GM is a medium-sized, unlined utility driver glove built for demanding electrical and utility work. Constructed from premium brown top-grain goatskin leather, the glove delivers the tactile sensitivity needed to feel what you are working with while resisting abrasion better than split leather. All seams are double-stitched with DuPont Kevlar thread to prevent seam blowout and extend wear life. The arc rating of 28.6 cal/cm2 (HRC2 / CAT2) and a Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of 94 percent make this glove a serious piece of PPE for live-line-adjacent tasks. Overall length is 12 inches with a 4-inch gauntlet cuff.
The MU3624GM is designed for utility industry workers who need reliable hand protection during tasks such as tie-off preparation, pole wrangling, and similar overhead or ground-level electrical work. The double palm construction places strategically reinforced layers of goatskin at the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle — the areas that take the most abuse. A wing-style thumb reduces hand fatigue, fourchette panels improve glove fit, and a shirred elastic wrist keeps the cuff seated under the gauntlet during movement. The unlined design helps maintain dexterity across long shifts, even in sweaty conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style utility driver glove for electrical and utility trade professionals requiring arc-rated hand protection in medium sizing.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, abrasions, or seam failures that could compromise arc protection. Arc-rated gloves must be matched to the appropriate PPE category for the task per NFPA 70E requirements. Gloves should be stored away from direct sunlight, petroleum products, and sharp objects to preserve leather integrity and arc-rating performance. Do not modify, repair, or continue to use gloves that show signs of structural damage.
