The MCR SAFETY MU3624GL is a heavy-duty utility driver glove built for electrical and utility trade professionals who need arc flash protection combined with all-day dexterity. Constructed from premium brown top-grain goatskin leather, this unlined gauntlet-style glove carries an arc rating of 28.6 cal/cm2 (HRC2 / CAT2) and a Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of 94 percent. All seams are double-stitched with Kevlar thread to resist seam blowout under sustained workloads. The wing thumb design and fourchette panels maintain natural hand movement during precision tasks.
This glove is designed for utility industry workers including linemen, electricians, and ground crews performing tasks such as tie-off preparation, equipment handling, and general field work. The 4-inch gauntlet cuff provides wrist and lower forearm coverage. Strategically placed second layers of goatskin leather at the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle deliver reinforced protection in the highest-wear contact zones without restricting grip or feel. A shirred elastic wrist keeps the glove seated securely during active use. Sold as a pair.
Designed as an OEM-style utility driver glove for electrical utility and general trade applications requiring CAT2 arc flash hand protection in a gauntlet-cuff format.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, punctures, or seam separation that could compromise arc flash or abrasion protection. Arc-rated gloves must be used as part of a complete arc flash PPE system in accordance with NFPA 70E requirements and should not be treated as a standalone electrical insulating glove. Do not expose to petroleum solvents or bleach-based cleaners, as these degrade leather and thread integrity. Replace immediately if the outer shell is compromised.
