The MCR SAFETY MU3624GKL is a cut-resistant utility driver glove built for demanding work in the electrical utility and lineman trades. Constructed from premium brown goatskin leather, it delivers the dexterity of top-grain material while resisting abrasion better than split leather alternatives. A 13-gauge DuPont Kevlar liner provides solid cut protection, and all seams are double-stitched with DuPont Kevlar thread to prevent seam blowout and extend wear life. The glove carries an arc flash rating of 61.4 cal/cm2 and a Heat Attenuation Factor of 95.6%, making it appropriate for tasks near energized equipment where both cut and thermal hazards are present.
The MU3624GKL is designed for utility industry professionals, including linemen, electricians, and transmission workers performing hands-on tasks such as tie-off prep and pole work. Strategically placed second layers of goatskin are positioned at the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle to add protection at high-wear points without reducing feel or grip. The wing-style thumb, fourchette panels, shirred elastic wrist, and 4-inch gauntlet cuff contribute to a secure fit across a full work shift. The goatskin material remains supple and comfortable under sweaty or warm conditions.
Designed as an OEM-style utility glove for electrical linemen, transmission workers, and trade professionals requiring combined cut resistance and arc-rated hand protection in a leather gauntlet-style glove.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, punctures, or seam separation that may compromise protection. Gloves with arc ratings must be used in accordance with applicable NFPA 70E personal protective equipment requirements and your site-specific energized electrical work permit. Do not use damaged gloves near energized equipment. Consult your safety coordinator to confirm this glove meets the required PPE category for the specific arc hazard level present at your worksite.
