The MCR SAFETY MU3624GFRM is a Mustang Utility Driver glove built for lineworkers, electricians, and utility field technicians who need arc flash protection without sacrificing grip or hand feel. Constructed from premium brown top-grain goatskin leather, the glove is lined with Kevlar and features a Nomex back-of-hand panel for breathability and thermal comfort. The arc rating is 24.7 cal/cm2 (HRC2 / CAT2) with a Heat Attenuation Factor (HAF) of 91.3 percent. A wing-style thumb and shirred elastic wrist cuff complete the design. This glove is sold as a pair and sized for a medium hand.
Designed for utility industry applications including overhead line work, transmission and distribution maintenance, and substation tasks where arc flash exposure is a daily hazard. The double-palm construction places a second layer of premium goatskin leather over the palm, fingertips, thumb crotch, index finger, and knuckle areas to absorb abrasion in the highest-wear zones. All stitch lines are sewn with Kevlar thread to resist seam failure under sustained mechanical stress. This glove suits both field technicians and shop personnel working in environments governed by NFPA 70E PPE category requirements.
Designed as an OEM-style arc-rated utility driver glove suitable for use by qualified electrical workers performing tasks under NFPA 70E PPE Category 2 requirements.
Inspection and donning of arc-rated gloves should be performed before energizing or approaching exposed energized conductors. Verify that the glove arc rating meets or exceeds the incident energy calculated for the specific task. Leather protector gloves may be required over rubber insulating gloves per NFPA 70E guidelines depending on the task; confirm PPE category requirements with a qualified safety officer before use. Inspect gloves for cuts, punctures, or seam separation before each use and remove from service if damage is found.
