The MCR SAFETY MU3213DPXXXL is a double-palm leather driver glove designed for utility and industrial trades that demand durability and arc flash protection in the same package. The primary shell is top-grain brown cowhide, chosen for its balance of abrasion resistance and tactile sensitivity. A second layer of gray cowhide reinforces the palm and knuckles, adding protection without killing hand feel. All stitch lines are sewn with DuPont Kevlar thread to resist seam blowout under heavy use. The glove carries an ARC rating of 52.7 cal/cm2, classified HRC4 / CAT4, and a Heat Attenuation Factor of 94.5 percent. Electrical workers, linemen, and utility crews working in arc-hazard environments are the primary users.
This glove is built for utility field work including transmission pole operations, tie-off prep, and other high-abrasion tasks where arc flash exposure is a real hazard. The 3X-Large sizing accommodates larger hands without restricting movement. The shirred elastic wrist provides a secure fit and helps keep debris out during active work. The wing-style thumb construction reduces stress at a high-wear seam location. Sold as a pair, this glove is appropriate for residential and commercial utility environments where CAT4 arc-rated hand protection is required by site safety policy or NFPA 70E compliance programs.
Designed as an OEM-style double-palm leather driver glove for utility, electrical, and industrial hand-protection programs requiring CAT4 arc-rated coverage.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, burns, or seam separation that could compromise arc and abrasion protection. Leather arc-rated gloves should not be used as a substitute for rubber insulating gloves where voltage-rated hand protection is required by NFPA 70E or OSHA 1910.137. Store away from direct heat, oils, and solvents to preserve leather integrity and arc-rating performance. Replace immediately if the shell or palm layer shows significant wear or damage.
