The MCR SAFETY MU3213DPM is a full-leather utility driver glove built for the electrical and utility trades. The shell is top-grain brown cowhide, chosen for its abrasion resistance and tactile dexterity. A second layer of premium gray cowhide covers the palm and knuckles, adding impact and abrasion protection where contact is heaviest. All seams are sewn with Kevlar thread to extend wear life and resist seam blowout under load. The glove carries an ARC rating of 52.7 cal/cm2 (HRC4 / CAT4), making it appropriate for energized-line work requiring Category 4 arc flash protection. Sized for medium hands and sold as a pair.
The MU3213DPM is designed for utility industry professionals including lineworkers, electricians, and transmission crews. The double-palm construction addresses the repetitive grip loads common in pole work, rigging, and equipment handling. The shirred elastic wrist provides a secure fit under sleeve cuffs and PPE layers. The wing-style thumb reduces seam irritation during extended wear. This glove fits residential and commercial electrical work where NFPA 70E Category 4 arc-rated hand protection is required.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue arc-rated driver glove for utility and electrical trade applications requiring NFPA 70E Category 4 hand protection.
Inspection and fitting of arc-rated PPE should be performed by a qualified electrical worker or safety officer in accordance with NFPA 70E requirements. Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, punctures, or seam separation that would compromise protection. Do not use arc-rated leather gloves as a substitute for rubber insulating gloves where voltage-rated hand protection is required. Replace immediately if the outer shell or double-palm layer shows structural damage.
