The MCR SAFETY 96782XXL is an 18-gauge cut-resistant glove built for trade and industrial workers who need reliable hand protection without sacrificing dexterity. The shell is constructed from Hypermaxfiber, a high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) and synthetic blend, and is coated on the palm and fingertips with a thin nitrile layer for grip and abrasion resistance. A reinforced thumb crotch adds durability at one of the highest-wear points on the glove. At 0.14 pounds per pair, the glove stays lightweight through extended use. Licensed tradespeople and general contractors working with sheet metal, conduit, glass handling, and other cut-risk materials will find this glove a practical daily-wear option.
The 96782XXL fits a 2X-Large hand and is suited for residential and commercial jobsite environments where ANSI cut protection is required. Typical applications include HVAC sheet metal fabrication, electrical conduit work, plumbing rough-in, and light industrial assembly. The nitrile palm coating maintains grip on both dry and lightly oily surfaces, making it functional across a range of trade conditions. The 18-gauge knit construction keeps the profile low, which supports tool handling and fine manipulation tasks on the job.
Designed as an OEM-style cut-resistant work glove suitable for HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general construction trades requiring hand protection against cut and abrasion hazards.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, tears, or coating separation that could compromise protection. Replace immediately if the shell or coating shows visible damage. Nitrile-coated gloves are not rated for electrical arc flash or high-voltage live-work applications and should not be substituted for rated electrical insulating gloves. Follow jobsite PPE requirements and applicable OSHA hand protection standards when selecting and using cut-resistant gloves.
