The MCR SAFETY 9218O is an 18-inch HPPE cut-resistant sleeve rated ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A4. It is designed to protect the forearm and lower arm from cut and laceration hazards in industrial, utility, and trade environments. The sleeve is constructed from high-performance polyethylene (HPPE) fiber and features elastic openings at both ends for a secure, slip-resistant fit during active work. It weighs 0.19 pounds and ships in orange for high-visibility identification on the job site. Licensed tradespeople and general laborers handling sheet metal, glass, sharp conduit edges, or piping regularly rely on this type of forearm protection.
This sleeve is suited for use across multiple trades and industries where forearm cut protection is required but full-glove dexterity must be preserved. Typical applications include HVAC sheet metal work, plumbing pipe handling, electrical conduit installation, and pool equipment maintenance involving sharp metal components. The orange color provides easy visual confirmation that the sleeve is in place. The elastic closure at both ends keeps the sleeve positioned correctly without additional fasteners or straps, making it practical for repeated donning and doffing throughout a shift.
Designed as an OEM-style forearm cut sleeve suitable for general-trade and industrial use wherever ANSI/ISEA Cut Level A4 forearm protection is required.
Pull the sleeve over the hand and forearm with the elastic bands seated above the wrist and below or at the elbow. Inspect the sleeve before each use for snags, cuts, or degraded elastic that may reduce protection. Replace immediately if the HPPE fibers show visible damage or if cut resistance is compromised. This sleeve is not a substitute for appropriate hand protection — pair with cut-rated gloves when the task requires full hand coverage.
