The MCR SAFETY 9188PUBXXL is a hand-specific, cut- and puncture-resistant work glove built for trade professionals who handle sharp materials, sheet metal, glass, wire, or abrasive surfaces on the job. The glove shell is knit from 18-gauge Kevlar, delivering ANSI/ISEA A4 cut resistance and a Level 2 puncture resistance rating. A black polyurethane coating covers the palm and fingertips, adding grip and abrasion resistance rated at ANSI/ISEA Level 3. The overall length is 10 inches. This glove is sized 2X-Large and is designed for right- or left-hand-specific wear.
This glove fits residential and commercial trade work where cut hazards are a daily risk — HVAC sheet metal fabrication and installation, plumbing rough-in with copper or steel pipe, electrical conduit work, and general mechanical service. The knit Kevlar construction keeps the glove lightweight and close-fitting, which preserves dexterity for tasks requiring hand tool manipulation, connector seating, or precision fitting work. The unlined interior and knit cuff allow for a snug fit without bulk.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue cut-resistant glove for trade professionals requiring ANSI/ISEA A4 cut protection in 2X-Large sizing.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, punctures, or coating separation that would compromise protection. These gloves are not rated as a blood-borne pathogen barrier and should not be used as a substitute for chemical-resistant or fluid-barrier PPE. Follow applicable OSHA hand protection requirements (29 CFR 1910.138) and site-specific PPE programs when selecting glove type. Replace gloves when the shell or coating shows visible wear that reduces protection level.
