The MCR SAFETY 5182SX4 is a two-piece high-visibility rain suit designed for workers who require maximum visibility in wet or low-light conditions. The suit consists of a rain jacket with an attached drawstring hood and a pair of elastic-waist pants, both constructed from 0.40mm stretch polyurethane bonded to a knitted cotton-polyester blend. Fluorescent lime coloring is paired with 2-inch silver reflective striping to meet ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 Type R Class 3 requirements on the jacket and ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 Class E requirements on the pants. The suit weighs 3.3 pounds and is sized at 4XL. Licensed tradespeople and safety-conscious contractors install this garment on highway, utility, and construction jobsites.
This rain suit is intended for outdoor work environments where high visibility is a regulatory or site safety requirement. Typical applications include road construction, utility maintenance, and other heavy-industry settings where workers are exposed to vehicular or equipment traffic in wet weather. The jacket features a zipper front with storm flap, two front patch pockets, elastic inner cuffs, and a D-ring access slot beneath the cape. The pants include a drawstring elastic waist and expandable ankle gussets for ease of movement and layering over work wear. The garment has also been treated for limited flammability and tested in accordance with ASTM D-6413, though it is not rated for arc flash or flash fire protection.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct-purchase option for workers requiring ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 Type R Class 3 and Class E compliant two-piece rain suit coverage. Formerly manufactured under the River City Garments label.
This garment is donned and doffed by the end user and does not require tools or trade installation. Inspect all reflective striping and seams before each use and replace the suit if reflectivity or waterproofing is compromised. This garment is not flame resistant and must not be worn as protection against arc flash or flash fire hazards. Follow applicable site safety plans and ANSI/ISEA 107 2020 guidelines for high-visibility apparel selection.
