The MCR Safety 4960L is a leather welding glove designed for professional welders and fabricators who need reliable hand protection during MIG, stick, and light TIG welding operations. The palm and forefinger are constructed from premium top grain cowhide, delivering a balance of dexterity and durability in high-wear zones. A split leather back and 4-inch brown split cow leather cuff extend coverage up the wrist and lower forearm. The glove is sewn with DuPont Kevlar thread throughout, adding resistance to thread failure from heat and abrasion. Sold as a pair, this glove is unlined and sized Large.
These gloves are suited for general welding environments in fabrication shops, construction sites, and industrial maintenance settings. The wing thumb construction reduces hand fatigue during extended use, and the top grain drag patch adds reinforcement at the most common contact points on the glove. The unlined design keeps the profile low and improves feel when handling electrodes, wire, or workpieces. This glove is appropriate for professional welders, ironworkers, and pipefitters working in environments that require leather hand protection meeting standard welding PPE practices.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock welding glove for professional welding PPE programs requiring leather construction in size Large.
These gloves are worn PPE and do not require installation. Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, burns, or seam failure that would reduce protection. Replace immediately if the leather is compromised or Kevlar stitching is frayed. Follow your site or shop PPE policy and applicable ANSI or OSHA hand protection requirements for welding tasks.
