The MCR Safety 4921S is a small-sized leather welding glove built for MIG and TIG welding applications where heat, sparks, and abrasion are constant hazards. The palm features a grain cowhide double-palm construction for added durability and grip, while the back is made from split brown cowhide. A 2.5-inch brown split leather cuff protects the wrist and lower forearm. The interior is lined with 6 oz. white knitted cotton fabric for comfort during extended wear. All seams are sewn with Kevlar thread for superior stitch integrity under high-heat conditions. Sold as a pair, this glove is sized Small.
The 4921S is designed for professional welders and fabricators working in industrial, manufacturing, and construction environments. It is well suited for MIG and TIG welding tasks where dexterity and heat resistance must both be maintained. The double palm construction makes it especially appropriate for repetitive or high-friction work where a single-layer glove would wear prematurely. Licensed welders and shop technicians are the primary end users, though maintenance professionals performing light welding or grinding may also find this glove appropriate for their work.
Designed as a standard MIG/TIG welding glove replacement suitable for general welding and fabrication work requiring leather hand protection.
Inspect gloves before each use for burn-through, cracking, or seam failure and replace immediately if damage is found. Do not use wet or damp gloves near electrical equipment or live welding circuits. Welding gloves should be fitted and stored per applicable workplace safety standards including ANSI/ISEA 138 guidelines for hand protection selection.
