The MCR Safety 4891M is a leather welding and drivers glove built for trades that demand dexterity without sacrificing hand protection. The palm and forefinger are cut from premium top-grain goatskin, a hide known for high tensile strength and natural lanolin content that keeps the leather supple over time. The back is constructed from split leather, and all seams are sewn with Kevlar thread for added resistance to heat and abrasion. A padded palm and a top-grain drag patch reinforce the highest-wear zones. The glove has a total length of 13 inches, including a 4.5-inch split cowhide gauntlet cuff that covers the wrist and lower forearm. Sold as a pair in size Medium.

Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, burns, or worn seams that would reduce protection. Leather welding gloves should not be used near open solvents or chemicals unless rated for chemical resistance. Allow gloves to dry naturally after exposure to moisture — do not apply direct heat to dry them, as this can cause the leather to crack and lose protective properties. Replacement should occur whenever the palm or seams show visible degradation.
