The MCR Safety 4891L is a large-size leather welding and drivers glove built for trades that demand dexterity without sacrificing hand protection. The palm and forefinger are cut from premium top grain goatskin, a hide known for high tensile strength, natural lanolin softness, and strong tactile sensitivity. The back is constructed from split leather, and all seams are sewn with Kevlar thread for heat and cut resistance at the stitch line. A padded palm and top grain drag patch reinforce the highest-wear zones. Total glove length is 13 inches, including a 4.5-inch brown split cow leather gauntlet cuff. Sold as a pair.
The 4891L is designed for welding, fabrication, and general industrial work where a balance of grip, flexibility, and flame resistance is required. The gauntlet cuff provides wrist and forearm coverage, making it appropriate for MIG and light TIG applications as well as torch work. The supple goatskin construction also makes this glove a practical choice for pipefitters, ironworkers, and maintenance techs who need a durable leather glove for daily handling tasks on a jobsite or in a shop environment.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-issue leather welding glove suitable for large-hand users in welding, fabrication, and general industrial applications.
Inspect gloves before each use for cuts, burns, or seam separation that could compromise protection. Do not use damaged gloves near open flame or arc welding equipment. Follow applicable OSHA hand protection requirements and your facility or jobsite PPE policy when selecting glove weight and cuff style for the task.
