The MCR Safety 4850XXL is a MIG/TIG welding glove built for professional welders who need both heat protection and tactile sensitivity on the job. Constructed from premium top-grain goatskin leather, the glove retains natural lanolin in the hide, which contributes to exceptional softness and a close, responsive fit. Stitching is done with DuPont Kevlar thread for added seam strength under thermal stress. A 4.5-inch blue split cow leather cuff extends protection up the wrist. This 2X-Large size is sold as a pair and is well suited to daily production welding environments.
The 4850XXL is designed for MIG and TIG welding applications in fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and field welding situations. The grain goatskin construction offers a strong tensile strength-to-thickness ratio, allowing welders to manipulate wire, feed rod, and position workpieces without sacrificing dexterity. The extended cuff provides wrist and lower forearm shielding against spatter and radiant heat. Single-hand versions are also available as the 4850LH (Large Left Hand) and 4850RH (Large Right Hand) for operators who need one-hand replacement.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or standard-stock welding glove for MIG and TIG welding operations. Single-hand replacements are available under part numbers 4850LH and 4850RH.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for cuts, thin spots, or compromised stitching that may reduce protection. Replace gloves that show signs of heat damage or seam failure. Follow applicable ANSI/AWS safety standards for personal protective equipment in welding environments. Do not use these gloves for tasks involving energized electrical conductors unless rated for electrical hazard protection.
