The MCR SAFETY 4850KXXL is a MIG/TIG welding glove built for trade professionals who need dexterity and heat protection in a single glove. Constructed from premium top-grain goatskin, the leather retains natural lanolin that keeps the material supple and responsive. The glove is fully lined and sewn with Kevlar fibers, adding resistance to cut and heat. A 4.5-inch blue split cow leather cuff protects the wrist and lower forearm. This 2X-Large version fits the same 4850K platform and is sold by the pair.
This glove is suited for MIG and TIG welding applications in fabrication shops, manufacturing facilities, and field welding environments. The top-grain goatskin construction provides tactile sensitivity that heavier cowhide gloves cannot match, making it a practical choice for TIG work where finger feel is critical. The Kevlar lining adds a secondary layer of protection without significantly reducing flexibility. Licensed welders, ironworkers, and pipefitters are the primary installers and end users.
Designed as an OEM-style replacement or direct selection within the MCR Safety 4850K MIG/TIG welding glove line in 2X-Large sizing.
Welding gloves should be inspected before each use for burns, cuts, or compromised seams that reduce protection. Ensure the cuff fully covers the wrist gap between sleeve and glove. Do not use gloves that show structural damage or reduced leather integrity. Proper PPE selection should follow applicable ANSI and AWS safety standards for the welding process in use.
